Diaspora Volunteering program:

KIRF is currently running a DFID funded Diaspora Volunteering programme to send Diaspora health and IT professionals from the UK to our KIRF Community hospital in the Mirpur District.

The programme sets out to tackle maternal and child health issues in the region and aims to provide the surrounding population of over 150,000 with a key awareness of maternal and child health as well as developing best practice at our hospital.

The programme will cover antenatal & postnatal care, child vaccinations, public health and will also update the hospital’s IT systems.

This is a great cause and if you or anyone you know may be interested please:

Prime TV Live Appeal – Friday 20th August 2010

The live appeal on Friday 20th August 2010 was a proud achievement.

We happily answered your calls and accepted your kind donations, for the impoverished flood victims of Kashmir.

With the commercial appeal of this televised event, we were able to further the awareness that was and still is so desperately needed.

We thank you all and please continue to donate with your generosity.

KIRF Charity Dinner – Monday 9th August 2010

The “KIRF Development Awareness of the forgotten Kashmiris” event was a proud success.

We thank all the attendees, guests and donors for all their help. The night would not have been a success without them.

We have taken all of the donations and are readily putting the funds to the most affected areas of Kashmir.
