Qurbani Appeal 2011

“It is not their meat, nor their blood that reaches Allah; it is your piety that reaches Him”.

Every year KIRF performs Qurbanis in Kashmir, on behalf of its donors from the U.K. and Europe. The Qurbanis are performed in the poorest areas of Azad-Kashmir like Tehsil, Badhi, Bagh. In these areas most of the people never get to eat meat all year round, so Qurbani time is the only time they receive meat, thanks to our donors.

It is started by the donor(s), where they provide their donation to the charity. KIRF uses that donation to pay for the animal, for the purpose of Qurbani. The animals are then taken to the villages where they are kept until the day of Eid-ul-Adha. KIRF staff and volunteers then go to the villages on the day and perform Qurbanis on behalf of our donors. Banners with the names of the donors are displayed at the village and people of the village gather together to make Dua for the Qurbani donors before the animals are slaughtered and meat is distributed among the needy.

The Dua made also after sacrifice is said, as follows:

Du’aa to be read after Zabah (sacrifice)

“O Allah accept from me this sacrifice like you have accepted from your beloved Muhammad and your friend Ibrahim. Peace be upon them”

Please donate your Qurbanis through KIRF for the people who otherwise would never eat meat all year round.

Surah 3: Al-Imran Verse 92:

“[3:92] You cannot attain righteousness until you give to charity from the possessions you love. Whatever you give to charity, GOD is fully aware thereof.”
